(Teeth Grinding)

*Will only be performed in a CQC registered clinic in England, or altneratively, can be performed in one of our clinics in Scotland or Wales.

Bruxism is a medical condition in which people get facial pain and headaches from grinding their teeth and clenching their jaw. Many people do this whilst not being aware they are doing it. The causes of bruxism are not very clear but stress, anxiety and certain medications may play a role. This can also affect the cosmetic outcome of the facial shape.

SOME SYMPTOMS INCLUDE:
- Facial pain
- Headaches
- Earache
- Pain and stiffness around temporomandibular joint
- Disrupted sleep
- Dental issues

Botox can be used to primarily reduce the above symptoms by injecting into the masseter muscle which hypertrophies (enlarges) as the years go by from jaw clenching. A secondary outcome is the slimming effect of the jawline as the masseter can no longer work to it’s full capacity.
